Contract: The Professional, Technical, and Analytical Services (PTAS) for Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) contract is a MAC IDIQ consisting of multiple Task Orders providing IW/Cyber support to Fleet Cyber Command/Commander TENTH Fleet and its subordinate elements.

Program Overview: This Task Order supports the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC) which provides Computer Network Defense services to the Navy Enterprise.

Duties/Responsibilities: The candidate will Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Navy Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS) collection system server and systems configurations (hardware and software) to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Administers server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and performs systems monitoring. Consults on network, application, and customer service issues to support computer systems’ security and sustainability. The Ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience with security concepts and knowledge of servers, systems, and network technologies. Must possess excellent problem solving skills.

Required Duties:

  • Maintain date feeds, via Splunk

  • Responsible for Application of required patches, version Updates, and update STIGs for system applications

  • Provide SME level input\support for Enterprise Capabilities Administrators and Support staff

  • Maintain Enterprise Sensor Grid (FirePowe/McAfee)

  • Audit data within Splunk for conformance


  • 10+ years system and TCP/IP network experience

  • 10+ years administrating Unix/Linux (Windows is acceptable but not desired)

  • 5+ years managing Security and Encryption technologies

  • Experience Intrusion Prevention Systems / Intrusion Detection Systems

  • Experience Security Incident and Event Management Systems (ie: Splunk, Sentinel, ArcSight, etc)

  • Solid understanding of securing operating systems

  • Virtualization (VMWare) experience

  • Storage Area Network (SAN) experience

  • Web Content Filtering or UTM device experience

  • Great communication skills (oral and written)

  • Ability to work independently

  • Organizational skills
