Have an active role in coordinating the Basic Phase training requirements and crew certification events to include re-implementing all training programs such as Personal Qualification System (PQS) programs.

Assist the ship’s Commanding Officer in assessing crew training requirements.

Assist in coordinating with TYCOM and NPC PERS-4 to ensure all incoming officers and enlisted personnel attend the proper schools and attain all required Officer Additional Qualification Designations (AQD) and Enlisted Navy Enlisted Classification Codes (NECs).

Review, assess, and oversee various MPT products and processes to include:

  • Billet Training Profiles (BTP)

  • Crew Scheduling and Phasing Plan (CSPP)

Tracks and manages workload and status of all relative products.

Computer literate and highly proficient in Microsoft applications.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and fifteen years of relevant experience

  • Ship pre-commissioning/reactivation experience is highly desired

  • Former Training Officers, DESRON/PHIBRON staff experience are highly encouraged

  • Must be comfortable communicating with technical staff of varying skill levels

One must have good computer skills, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Secret Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required.
