APTIM Engineering/Construction Internship in Norfolk, Virginia

Job Summary:

The Engineering/Construction Internship provides students with an opportunity to experience working on environmental remediation projects.

Candidates will experience the full evolution of an environmental remediation project including bidding, project planning, and field execution. Candidates will contribute on multiple projects and multiple sites both locally and potentially along the east coast. Typical project responsibilities include assisting the project team in preparing scope of work documents, work plans, quality control plans, sampling plans, conducting field sampling of air, soil, and water, performing field construction oversight and quality control during remedial actions, performing field design changes, monitoring production and other construction metrics, and completing daily reporting.

The Company will provide all applicable training and reimburse all approved travel required by the project. Candidates must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record. Candidates must provide appropriate attire for both field work (safety steel-toed boots) and office attire (business casual).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of Degree: Pursuing a degree in Engineering ( Civil, Environmental, Mechanical) or Construction Management

  • Previous internships or other work preferred

  • Must be a US Citizen to gain access to government facilities
